Kealoha 8 is the latest in a line of boats owned by the Holliday family who have over 50 years of sailing experience on dinghies, Swans and Moodys.
K8 is the Oyster 72 model, number 4, and is our best yacht to date. It combines the very best of Oyster design with the experience that has been built up over 50 years. This is David Holliday’s third Oyster having graduated from Oyster 55 to a 68 and now the new 72.
K8 is primarily used as a family boat, mostly cruising and some racing, when it is not being chartered. K8 is pure luxury as you will see from the specification. Launched in April 2006, she is kept in as good-as-new condition by full-time skipper Adrian and mate, Jen.
Kealoha is finished in cross cut teak throughout with the exception of the saloon table, which is finished with elm burr.

The saloon will comfortably seat 10 for dinner and, if you are friendly, 12, so plenty of opportunity to ask guests aboard. The 30-inch flat screen, which rises from behind the seats, means that you will be able to watch your TV/DVD in comfort. If you are keen, all the navigational data can be displayed on the screen, so no need for everyone to crowd around the navigational area.
The cockpit has been designed for entertaining. The table opens out to seat 12 and the fridge and cool box are located in the centre of the table, which means that you should never be without a cool drink.
With “his” and “her” steering wheels there is plenty of opportunity for a diversity of opinion. Whether you want fast sailing, quiet anchorages, skiing, fishing, snorkelling or just relaxing with a quiet drink, K8 is your yacht.
