Kealoha took 15 months to build. The construction started with the deck and hull being moulded at Colchester, England using a combination of kelvar, carbon and e-glass creating a strong yet light hull. This was then shipped to Landamores, the famous boat builders who are based in Wroxham, Norfolk, England.
Landamores employ the highest quality craftsmen, their process is to let one or two joiners build each cabin so that they see it through from beginning to completion. All of the work was carried out under the watchful eye of the oyster project manager Alan Harmer.
After completion the boat was shipped to Fox's marina where a 6 week commissioning period began. At the end came a two day handover to the owner and then the first sail which was great.
