First question is – What sort of fish is that gold/yellow one on the after deck?
If you are in Cape Town for the start of the Volvo – go along and try to get in with the race officer. It’s our chum Bill O’Hara who is running the races. Fresh from Laser sailing in Ballyholme. Tell him ET and DT sent you – also Gillian Guinness (Atlantic 07 delivery crew)tells him to clean his teeth! Ask him about the story from the protest in Royal Ulster about the “protes-tee and the protes-tant” – “no, I’m a Roman Catholic!”
Keep enjoying your ‘cruise around the world’ – I can’t believe you will be finished in April 09!! Have a ball and drink a lovely cool beer sitting looking over a setting sun. Miss you all and thinking of you.

Great to see you are doing fine while your Kiwi crew are back home with us. It has been great to have them here for a while and hear about all the K8 adventures.I understand that Adrian and Jen are looking forward to some bottles of Glenfiddick …. something about a England / All Black game …. and by the way didnt we also win the one day series against the English and did we mention the under 20 rugby world cup final against England???

Can’t say I have been avidly following your every move, but my excuse is that I have been working too hard!
Anyway thought I would track exactly where you are, and to my surprise you must be in the diametrically opposed part of the world to me, surrounded by water! For my part I have the monopoly on the beach element here in Saudi Arabia. Whilst we are both in the middle of a wilderness – yours physically, mine culturally – you have one distinct advantage – possession of alcoholic beverages!
Keep sailing safe! See you no doubt when you eventually return to Blighty!
